About this library
TLEA is a private, English-searchable evidence base on East Asian energy technology. It covers oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, power, hydrogen, CCUS, coal and mining, with Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese sources.
What is in a record
Each record is thin and citable: an English name, the local name in the original script, a description, links to related entities, and one or more evidence URLs. Vendors carry their roles, aliases and products. Equipment carries specs with a basis and acompany claim badge where the figure is the vendor's own. Patents carry bibliographic data and our summary of the claims, never the full claim text.
Search and language
The index is English. A Chinese, Japanese or Korean query is resolved through the termbase and the alias index, and the result page shows what was searched. The interface is English-only. Local names, titles and aliases appear in the original script with alang attribute; they are metadata, not body text.
A translated document is body-searchable only when the translation passed QA and covers the body. A failed or partial translation is metadata- and name-searchable, and the page says so. Query machine translation is off at launch; the resolver is deterministic.
Licences and reuse
Every source carries a licence, a reuse level, a permitted use and a verification state. A record's badges are a roll-up of its evidence; the evidence table shows each source's own label. The four reuse levels are:
- open full text under an open licence;
- restricted full text held for internal study, not for redistribution;
- summary summary only;
- catalogue metadata only.
Restricted text is included, not hidden. It is served to a signed-in user with a banner and a licence label. Exports tag every restricted item[restricted]; an open-only export is a separate, explicit command.
What is deliberately absent
- No full patent claims, and no claim that a summary is the claims.
- No prices, no market forecasts, no ranking of suppliers by quality.
- No personal data beyond published bibliographic inventor names.
- No claim that a standard is equivalent to another standard.
- No inferred project, company or capacity without a named source.
Uncertainty
“Not recorded” is used instead of a blank. A source markedunverified has not had its terms and licence checked, even if the page was fetched. A figure marked company claimis vendor-published and is never presented as independent evidence.
